Introducing The Blueprint's Generative AI Timeline
New searchable section added to site, collating all the significant events in Generative AI
I’m very pleased to announce the launch of a pet project that I’ve been working on over the last few months. The Blueprint now has a new section called Timeline which you can access from the website’s navigation bar.
This new section is a searchable timeline of all the significant events in Generative AI, going all the way back to Alan Turing’s first mention of ‘intelligent machinery‘ in July 1948.
The Timeline contains all the important Generative AI milestones, announcements, research papers, and news since the field came to prominence in 2022. I’ve also included significant events in AI over the last 75 years that contributed and led up to Generative AI becoming such a revolutionary and exciting technology.
Each event has a link to read more so you can access the original research papers, company announcements, and news articles covering the event. The Timeline is completely searchable so if you just want to see events relating to Microsoft you can search for them.
I hope that people find this a useful resource when looking for coverage of specific Generative AI events and to see how the field has developed over time. I’m sure I won’t have everything that should be covered on the Timeline yet, so if there’s anything that you’d like to see added, please let me know in the comments!
