The exclusion of OpenAI consumer hardware products from Microsoft's IP rights is a huge detail most people are missing. Microsoft gets all the software models for free through 2032, but OpenAI can now build phones and robots without IP conflicts. This basically sets up a future where OpenAI hardware runs OpenAI models exclusively while Microsoft integrates them into everyting else. Smart way to avoid the messy conflicts Apple and Google have had with their hardware/software partnerships.
